5 ways to use essential oils to de-stress

Bathing

To help you unwind, try popping a few drops in your bath water after it has finished running. Alternatively, another lovely tip is to make a hot compress by soaking a hand towel or flannel in warm water with a few drops of essential oil and apply this to the back of the neck for relaxation.

Combining incense, candles or essential oils as part of regular meditation can help enhance feelings of relaxation. Studies have shown that regular meditation before bed can help you fall asleep quicker, deeper and for longer.

Diffusers

Spreading the scent of essentials oils effectively, diffusers can be a simple way to inhale and experience the benefits of different essential oils. It can also help create a calm atmosphere and can be a simple start to your self-care routine.

Alternatively, if you’re on the go a lot and can’t benefit from a diffuser, you can keep an essential oil in your bag. When you feel stressed, you simply apply a few drops to a tissue and inhale deeply.
