What to expect from a reflexology treatment

Reflexology is typically done on the soles, tops and sides of your feet, but can and does get used on the hands. The reflexologist uses the thumb and fingers to work the feet. Your feet and hands represent your body and the reflexologist works the feet or hands to bring about homeostasis and relaxation.

The treatment should not hurt although certain areas can feel uncomfortable which will show the reflexologist that there is an imbalance to that area. Your reflexologist will work over this area with there thumb or finger to restore balance to it and help remove toxins that may have build up in that area. After your treatment it is good to drink water to help flush these toxins out.
