About me

Hello, my name is Laura; I’m a Holistic Creative Therapist based in Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove, offering Usui Reiki, Angelic Reiki, Counselling (both traditional and creative options available), and a few different groups: Reiki and Relax group, Creative Space group, and creative therapy workshops.

I’m a fully qualified as both a Usui Reiki practitioner, and an Angelic Reiki practitioner. I'm a Practitioner Member of the UK Reiki Federation (UKRF), and a Registered Member of the Angelic Reiki Association (ARA). I'm also an experienced counsellor of over 10 years experience and a Registered Member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Reiki is a gentle, soothing complementary therapy that can be used to help manage a range of mental, emotional and physical issues alongside traditional treatments.

In Usui Reiki, a gentle form of energy healing, the therapist channels ‘universal life-force energy’ (the literal translation of ‘reiki’ from Japanese) to the client. This universal life-force energy flows to wherever it may aid you, and can help you feel more relaxed, energised and generally more ‘well.’

In Angelic Reiki, also a very gentle yet powerful form of energy healing, energy is channelled directly from the Angelic Kingdom of Light. Healing is given wherever it is most needed in that moment, according to your highest, greatest good.

Reiki and angelic healing energy can both help you to feel better (in whatever sense), as well as promote the natural healing abilities of the body by encouraging your body to switch from a threat state (fight or flight), to a relaxed state, where healing can naturally occur. I must stress, though, that reiki is not a 'cure,' and must not be used in place of traditional medicine.

I also run a group, 'Reiki and Relax,' which takes place on fortnightly Saturdays from 5.30pm - 6.45pm. In a small group of up to 6 people, it is an opportunity to let go of stress from the week, set positive intentions for the week ahead, and reconnect with a sense of calm and healing through a nature-themed visualisation followed by reiki healing for all members of the group.

If you are interested in diving deeper into your psychological and emotional wellbeing, you may be interested in the combined counselling and reiki sessions that I offer. These sessions are 95 minutes long and consist of 50 minutes of counselling, followed 30 minutes of reiki and some time to check-out at the end of the session. Counselling is a safe place to explore, understand, find meaning and connect with yourself in a non-judgemental and empathic therapeutic relationship. Reiki is a wonderful complement to counselling as it gives you space to relax, and benefit from the soothing, healing energies of reiki which can rejuvenate your energy and consolidate the work you have done in counselling.

Reiki and angelic healing are a wonderful addition to any self-care routine and it can be a real treat to gift a session of reiki to yourself or someone you love.

Training, qualifications & experience

I love to learn, and am continually fascinated by the ways in which we can work with reiki, and the world of Spirit. I have completed training with a number of inspirational teachers, who practice different approaches, styles and philosophies of reiki and healing, and I can't wait to learn more.

  • Professional Usui Reiki Practitioner Diploma (working towards CNHC accreditation) (Ongoing, 2024-2025)
  • Spirit-Led Reiki First and Second Degree (Practitioner level) (2025)
  • Angelic Reiki First and Second Degree (Practitioner level) (2024)
  • Animal Reiki Level 1 (2024)
  • Usui Reiki Level 2 (Practitioner level) (2024)
  • Usui Reiki Level 1 (2023)

I am committed to my training as a complementary health professional, and as well as completing my basic training, I am actively pursuing continuing professional development opportunities to enhance my skills and experience, to provide the best possible service for my clients.

As well as working with people, I hope to be able to provide reiki for animals once I have completed my specialist animal reiki training.

I also have extensive qualifications and training as a counselling professional, which you can view by either visiting my website or my Counselling Directory profile (link at the bottom of the page).

I am a Practitioner Member of the UK Reiki Federation and abide by their Code of Ethics and professional conduct guidelines.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Therapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Therapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Droitwich: the building is wheelchair accessible, however, it is an old building and some doorways can be a bit tight. My usual therapy room is upstairs, but there is the potential to use a downstairs room if needed, subject to availability.
