About me
I am a BTEC6 Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage Therapist specialising in therapy for chronic pain relief.
My interest in holistic therapies for chronic pain relief stems from my own chronic pain experience, having had chronic low back pain since my late teens. Treatments incorporating myofascial release transformed my low back pain. This inspired me to train to the highest level in clinical and sports massage in order to help others.
The pain issues I work with can be split into two broad categories: Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain and complex pain.
MSK Pain
Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain can be described as discomfort or pain in the bones, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments of the body. This type of pain can affect people of all ages and can be caused by a variety of factors such as injury, overuse, poor posture, or underlying medical conditions.
Common examples of musculoskeletal pain include:
- Low back pain and sciatica
- Jaw pain and TMJ issues
- Frozen shoulder and impingements
- Osteoarthritis
- Tendonitis and Tendinopathies
Complex Pain
Conditions affecting multiple parts of the body, involving multiple body systems, or where you experience a multitude of symptoms, can be categorised as complex pain conditions.
These can include:
- Fibromyalgia
- Long Covid
- CVA/Stroke
- Hypermobility Disorders, including EDS
- Chronic Stress
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Psoriatic arthritis
Whether you have had a diagnosis or are still searching for answers and treatment, you will likely have had varying experiences, dead ends and frustrations.
If you have a complex pain condition, I highly recommend booking a FREE 15-minute Discovery Video Call.
This way, you can take your time to explain your previous experiences and together we can explore if treatment such as Advanced Myofascial Release, may be appropriate for you.
If you have MSK pain, I suggest either booking a FREE 15-minute Discovery Video Call, or booking the First Visit Appointment.
What to expect
If, like others, you feel let down or lost in the medical system, frustrated with conventional treatments, or feel that you or your symptoms are misunderstood or dismissed, this space is for you. Here you will find a non-judgmental environment, specifically centred around you and the outcomes you desire.
The therapies I adopt are holistic, meaning they address you the whole person. These therapies are evidenced by the latest research and have been proven to be highly effective in both pain relief and pain management – promoting relaxation, and improving overall wellbeing.

"I was sceptical that a massage would make any difference to my back pain. However this is no ordinary massage. To my great surprise and relief, the day after my treatment with Steven I could turn over and get out of bed for the first time in years without any stiffness or pain."

“I would highly recommend Steven's treatments. I contacted Steven because of the neck and shoulder pain I experience. Even after one session I noticed an improvement in movement and comfort and a significant improvement after a few sessions. I like the balance of a targeted approach combined with a holistic soothing massage that Steven gives. He has a lot of technical knowledge as well as a friendly manner that puts you at ease. Highly effective and relaxing treatment.”
