About me
Bowen Technique is a neuro-muscular treatment from Australia. It is a gentle, non-invasive but highly effective therapy for relieving backache, frozen shoulder, ankle and knee problems and sports injuries.
Rolling of the muscle, ligament or tendon stimulates the nervous system allowing the brain to talk more efficiently to the body. This releases areas of tension, reduces inflammation and eliminates pain and stiffness.

Testimonials
"I cannot recommend Lucy highly enough. After having bad back pains for years and trying physio and having it manipulated causing more pain... Bowen is the only thing I have found that has worked, its pain free and well, just magic!!" Georgie
"Thank you so much - you've given my mum her life back." Kay
"Despite severe foot problems last year, Bowen treatments kept me flexible enough to complete two half marathons within 6 weeks of each other. As an ex rugby and judo player, regular Bowen treatments keep my battered joints mobile." Martin
"That's the first time I've been able to see my left shoulder in 10 years! I've no idea how you did it, but its magic!" Ann
“This is THE most effective treatment I have ever had! After just 3 sessions of this amazing therapy, expertly applied by Lucy, my neck is now pain free after suffering for over 20 years! Occasional ‘top-ups’ keep me pain free and I recommend this incredible treatment wholeheartedly.” Kaye
“I had a 4 week course of Bowen Therapy last summer to see if it could ease osteoarthritis pain and free up some movement. At the end of each treatment my body was completely and deeply relaxed and I felt quite sleepy, even though it was morning. In that relaxed state I felt very comfortable about sharing things that were on my mind too, and as I believe very much in the mind/body connection, this proved to be for me an important part of this holistic therapy. The relaxed feeling lasted all day. Although I believe that the progress of my osteoarthritis itself cannot be halted, I feel very strongly that Bowen therapy is a very useful way to release the contracted and overworked surrounding tissues, and an alternative way to relieve the pain caused by the tension in those muscles and fascia. Highly recommended.” Barbara
"I’ve really enjoyed and benefited from my Bowen sessions with Lucy. Her manner is friendly and professional and her treatment room is a haven of tranquility. I’d thoroughly recommend her.” Lissa
