About me
Taking the first step towards therapy can often feel like a daunting task, so I aim to make our start together as comfortable as possible. I offer a friendly and down-to-earth service where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without any fear of being judged.
My approach is deeply collaborative. I don’t see myself as the 'expert' on your life, as everyone’s journey is individual and personal to them, but rather as someone walking alongside you to help make sense of your experiences. Having been through my own path as a breast cancer survivor and thriver, I have a particular heart for walking the cancer journey alongside others, offering a space of genuine understanding and empathy.
In our sessions, the focus is entirely on you. I work in an adaptable way, tailoring our time to suit your specific needs rather than following a rigid, 'one-size-fits-all' plan. Depending on what feels right for you, we may incorporate Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT Tapping), meditation, and mindfulness to support your wellbeing.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to talk things through, we will always work at a pace that feels right for you. Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat to see how we might work together.

My Background & Experience:
My path to wellbeing work is built on a foundation of professional care and personal practice. With a long-standing background in education and tutoring, I bring a patient, clear, and structured approach to my therapeutic work. I understand how to break down complex emotions and "mental clutter" into manageable steps, helping you feel capable rather than overwhelmed.
I have many years of personal and practical experience in meditation and mindfulness, which I integrate into my sessions to help clients feel grounded.
I am a lifelong learner and actively engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), ensuring my knowledge and techniques stay fresh and effective.
Areas of Focus:
While I have a particular heart for supporting those on a cancer journey, my service is open to anyone navigating the challenges of life. I specialise in:
- Anxiety & Stress Management – Finding calm in the "busy-ness" of life.
- Life Transitions – Support when you are navigating big changes or feeling "stuck."
- Mindset & Wellbeing – Building practical tools for emotional resilience.
Client Feedback:
"I recently had a session with Julie and found the experience very calming. She took time to understand the issue I wanted to work on, and this made me feel heard. Julie guided the process in a very supportive and non-judgmental way. I appreciated how patient and respectful she was." - Justine
