About me
I formed Equilibre Reflexology Therapies in July 2016 after qualifying from the London School of Reflexology under the expert tutelage of Louise Keet and Ziggie Bergman. I subsequently went on to complete advanced training with Tony Porter, Moss and Sharon Arnold and Mauricio Kruchik. I work from my bright and tranquil treatment space at home and I also offer a mobile reflexology service in Harlow, Epping and Sawbridgeworth areas.
Reflexology is a holistic complementary therapy aimed at balancing the 'whole' person by triggering the body’s innate healing response. It works on all levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Plenty of time is taken at the initial consultation to enable treatments to be specifically tailored to each individual, emphasis being placed on alleviating stress and facilitating deep relaxation so the body and mind can begin the healing process. In addition, and where appropriate, aftercare advice will be offered regarding diet and lifestyle to complement each treatment.
Hot stone reflexology relaxes the body to a deeper level. Heated stones can penetrate up to 7-8 cm into the superficial layer of muscle thereby bringing about physiological changes and enhancing the body's natural energy flow.
Reflexology is so beneficial when received throughout all stages of pregnancy, during labour as well as post-natally. Due to the calming and balancing effects on the maternal nervous and endocrine systems, the baby benefits on all levels too.
Facial reflexology has the additional benefits of a clearer, more toned and glowing complexion as circulation and lymphatic drainage is improved and tension in the facial muscles is released. Facial reflexology may be very effective in helping alleviate the negative effects of stress, insomnia, TMJ disorder, bruxism, anxiety, sinus congestion, hormonal imbalances and headaches. It can be combined with Indian Head Massage, Reiki or foot reflexology according to need or client preference.
I am also a fully qualified Usui and Karuna Reiki Master Healer and will often combine therapies if required for a bespoke treatment experience.
My intention is that whoever comes to me for treatment leaves feeling better on all levels . Reflexology and Reiki are wonderful therapies and you will have my complete focus and undivided attention during your appointment. It is for this reason that I only arrange two or three appointments per day. I have a particular interest in autoimmune diseases and women’s health.
As well as my practice at home I am a volunteer therapist at the Hummingbird Cancer Support Group in Herts.
