An initial acupuncture appointment lasts approximately 60 minutes and involves the following:

  • an assessment of your general health and medical history.
  • a physical examination.
  • an opportunity to raise any questions that you may have prior to treatment.
  • the commencement of treatment with the insertion of acupuncture needles.
  • the discussion of a treatment plan tailored to your requirements.

NB. If you return with a different problem some time after an initial course of treatment, you will not require an additional long appointment. Instead, please book a follow-up appointment.

Follow-up appointments last approximately 45 minutes.

Appointments involve a brief review of your health since your prior appointment, which includes a discussion about any concerns that you may have. This is followed by the insertion of acupuncture needles.

Cupping appointments generally last for 30 minutes and involve the following:

  • an assessment of your general health and medical history.
  • a physical examination.
  • an opportunity to raise any questions that you may have prior to treatment.
  • the commencement of treatment with the application of cups.
  • the discussion of a treatment plan tailored to your requirements.

Within Chinese medicine, moxibustion or moxa is used frequently to turn a breech position baby. Moxa is a type of heat therapy in which dried mugwort is burned on or very near the skin’s surface. While it is best to seek treatment as close to 34 weeks as possible, treatment may still be successful up to 39 weeks.

ONLINE CONSULTATIONS: £40 (initial) / £20 (follow-up)

Additionally, we are able to offer online consultations in certain instances – most particularly in relation to women's health and fertility. Please get in touch for further information.

Appointment cancellations giving less than 24-hours notice and/or NO SHOWS will be charged 100% of service amount.
