About me

Welcome to Crowthorne Health

Here at Crowthorne Health, Toni offers professional and caring treatments using Traditional Acupuncture, Tui Na massage and related therapies in a relaxing environment.

Toni has an experienced background as a healthcare professional in the NHS, which has provided her with a thorough knowledge of Western Medicine.

This, together with the Traditional Acupuncture Medical training, gives Toni a unique understanding of where complementary treatments, and specifically acupuncture, can be beneficial in health and well-being.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our Experienced Practitioner - Background

Toni has previously worked within NHS hospitals across the South-East and beyond for over twenty years.  Her professional health career began as a Radiotherapy Radiographer, specialising in Oncology and Cancer Care. Toni has BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography & Oncology and Post Graduate qualifications in Health and Social Care.

For many years Toni worked  closely with patients of all ages and has a deep understanding of the physical and also emotional needs of individuals. Toni has always had a clear focus on health and well-being. Especially how different medical practices and teachings can help us understand our mental, physical and emotional health.

Consequently, over eighteen years ago Toni trained as an acupuncturist, achieving degree level qualification, after becoming fascinated in the philosophies and teachings of Traditional  Medicine.  Recognising the long history of this practise, in the East, and its impact on patients and their illnesses, Toni graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.  Recognising the need of incorporating complementary treatments into healthcare,  after graduating, Toni established an acupuncture clinic within an NHS Cancer Centre, whilst also running her clinic in Crowthorne. Toni was able to demonstrate the effects and set a precedent for combining complementary treatments and conventional medicine.

Experience

Today Toni maintains her work in oncology and works as the support acupuncturist for Penny Brohn UK at the Genesis Care facility in Windsor.

Her Clinic in Crowthorne is where many patients see Toni for a variety of health conditions from Tennis Elbow to Irritable Bowel, Depression and Anxiety, Headaches and Migraines, Womens Health and many other conditions.  For more information please call for an initial consultation.

Testimonials  Here are a few comments from people I have treated

"After suffering with endometriosis for years, taking various medication and surgery I decided to try acupuncture.  Toni made me feel at ease straight away and was able to talk me through how treatments would work and the effect on my symptoms.
After 2 or 3 treatments I saw a huge improvement on the regularity of my cycle and even more so in the reduction of pain. I reduced treatments to monthly and am so grateful to finally be able to live a normal life again."

"I can thoroughly recommend Toni Hennings for acupuncture treatment. She provides a warm, comfortable and calming environment and treats with a very caring, intuitive and professional nature."

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition, please consult your GP for advice before starting any new therapies.
