About me

Physiotherapist Tessa Da Silva is the founder of Effective Physiotherapy Ltd, which is a Physiotherapy and Sport Injury Management company that specialises in Injury Prevention, treatment and self-management. Her focus is on an holistic, integrated approach where she considers the body as a whole, as an injury rarely occurs in isolation. She will utilise ‘hands on' treatment, education and the development of exercise  programs to assist not only injured clients  but active, motivated people who want to avoid the pain and inconvenience of preventable injury.

Tessa's mission is to provide an effective evidence base physiotherapy service, which clients recommend to families and friends. Her staff comprises a team of specialist physiotherapists who are CSP and HPC registered, and who work alongside a team of experienced strength and conditioning personal trainers. Her company is recognised by all the major private insurances companies, including BUPA and AXA-PPP. Tessa’s Profile

Tessa is the Director and the Consultant sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist of Effective Physiotherapy Ltd. She qualified from the Manchester University with a BSc Hons in physiotherapy in 2002. She has also completed post graduate diplomas in Orthopedic Medicine and Business Management along with Post Graduate Certificate in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the Queen Mary University London.

As a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, Tessa has gained further qualifications from post graduate courses including acupuncture and Pilates. Tessa has worked both in the NHS and in private sector. She has gained extensive experience working with elite, sub-elite and recreational sporting injuries across many different disciplines.

Tessa is a highly experienced and enthusiastic chartered physiotherapist  whose experiences has enable her to develop a focused, goal based treatment program for clients focusing on functional rehabilitation.
