About me

I am a certified Mindfulness Coach, experienced Yoga Teacher, Somatic Healer and Yoga Therapist in Training. I am also the co-host of the podcast, The Happy Edit.

As a yoga teacher, healer, coach, and trauma-informed professional I specialize in stress and burnout, women's health (including prenatal & postnatal yoga) and pelvic health.

My mission is to be a supportive guide and informative resource to help you go from feeling exhausted and overwhelmed to balanced and thriving. I am dedicated to meeting you where you are at and sharing tools that support your needs and goals.

I’m here to make yoga, well-being, personal development, and the joy of feeling amazing—accessible, informative, and fun!  It's not to add one more thing to your to-do list, but to consolidate, save you time and energy, and have you feeling your best.

Testimonials:

"I received a series of somatic coaching sessions from Tess and walked away with a number of simple yet powerful tools to help me build awareness of and listen to my body. Tess has an incredibly calming presence (even over Zoom!) and holds space with so much compassion and tenderness. I really learned a lot from her and her mindfulness expertise, AND I learned a lot from myself through her gentle yet wise facilitation." - Vivian L.

"Due to a difficult period in my life, lots of stress and burnout at work, plus some problems in my personal life, this year I have struggled for the first time with anxiety, this negative, life-changing force that once you have experienced it, changes it all (for the worst).

Tess helped me in a very difficult moment, teaching me some techniques to control my body, my mind and to balance myself. It helped me so much, and still does. I learnt how to breath, how to control the panic attacks and how to approach the situations that were causing me this feeling and it really helped me stepping out of my own cycle of anxiety, sadness and negativity." - Elisa García

"The techniques I have learned from Tess have been very beneficial, relieving my stress in my work and daily life. I’m 69 years old and try to challenge myself with new projects and volunteer opportunities. Several years ago I was elected as a county board official and am now the newly elected vice chair of our 29 member board. When I feel stressed, or have a new board responsibility that I feel unsure about, I am able to use the de-stress tools Tess has taught me on my commute to the meeting. It helps me to slow down my breathing and heart rate and thoughtfully reflect on the big picture to process possible solutions.

I also go to the gym regularly for a 30 minute high-intensity interval workout on the treadmill. When I was doing the brief bursts of intensity, I was finding that my heart rate was getting quite high. I found I can use those same de-stress tools, like the “hum” breath technique she taught me, to reduce my heart rate significantly during the intense bursts.

Tess is calm, gentle in her approach and is great at encouraging me." - Nancy C.

"I first started taking part in Tess’ group sessions for Yoga Nidra. The main reason I joined was to help and support some medical conditions I have. In the last few months, I have been working one on one with Tess who has been helping coach me to deal with a lot of stress and overwhelm I’ve had in my life lately. Tess has a very calming and relaxed personality that makes you feel relaxed within minutes. She has helped me immensely to manage my stress and get my voice back in my life.

I will continue to work with Tess, and join in on the weekly group Yoga Nidra sessions, because working with her has been instrumental in helping me reduce the stress and overwhelm in my life, helps me relax for the weekend and sets me up for the week ahead. If you’re looking for someone to help you manage your stress and help you through your healing journey, I highly recommend working with Tess!" - Debbie F.

"Tess is an excellent yoga teacher; she is very dedicated to her work and knowledgable that if one position doesn’t work for someone, she can quickly suggest another. This creates a trusting environment and you know she always has your best interests at heart.

I have been focusing particularly in prenatal yoga with Tess and have learnt not only physically how to relax my body in pregnancy but also facts about the pregnancy process, through her studies and experience." - Claire S.
