About me

Holistic massage to restore whole health and wellbeing: connect to and nuture your tired body, busy mind and shifting emotional state. An informed, intuitive and sensitive approach to working with 'the you' that walks in that day. Join me to unwind, be heard and held as we explore, through a trauma-informed approach, the root of any pain, stress, anxiety or general discomfort you're experiencing in your body and self. We'll work together in helping you feel like the better version of yourself.

The style of the massage is fluid in taking a form that meets the needs and wants of your physical, mental and emotional interconnected being: well work together with open-dialogue and respond to felt touch, tension, energy and your body's embodied awareness (separate to our thinking mind) of what it is you and your nervous system truly want to allow you to be at rest, comfortable and feel safe. Bodies are beautifully complex, so our approach will reflect this by going beyond felt surface symptoms of pain as we look to assess biomechanics and any emotional holding to allow a greater systemic healing. As we access this deeper awareness of what is going on inside, we’ll work with both mind and body, acknowledging their joint role in how we hold our bodies, as we physically loosen muscular tensions and calm the nervous pathways that hold them.

My awareness of holistic wellbeing started with sports I enjoyed, namely climbing, running, cycling, swimming, and occasionally snowboarding, not only because it felt satisfying but it allowed me to mentally connect with the way my body felt. Managing injury and my own mental health eventually led me down the path of better understanding the mind-body connection and the benefits of touch therapy and mindfulness in caring for ones self. Before training to become a holistic masseur, I spent the past decade involved with the sustainable food and farming movement, working to support a change in the way we connect and engage with our food and environment.
