About me
Roots Of Tranquility is committed to providing high quality, safe, professional complementary therapy, enhanced by using knowledge and skills from my nursing background. I aim to provide relaxation, reduce stress, giving clients a valuable, enjoyable experience in an atmosphere where you can unwind, allowing time to let go of tension. Using a holistic approach endorsing, self-care, learning to relax your body intensifies in a peace of mind and spirit.
Training, qualifications & experience
After many years of nursing I started training as a complementary therapist 5 years ago at the first NHS approved training school at Harrogate General Hospital, where I attained level three ITEC diploma in reflexology and massage. I’m also a level two Reiki practitioner and qualified in Daoyin Tao (an acupressure face, neck, head and shoulders massage). I have experience working with cancer patients and working in palliative care.

FHT is the largest multi-disciplinary therapy organisation in the UK and has been representing holistic, beauty and sports therapists for over 45 years.
There a number of different membership categories (including Fellows, Member, Student, Associate and Non-Practitioner) which are dependent on qualifications and experience.
FHT enforce high professional standards, and all Members, Fellows and Student Members are required to follow a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.
