About me
With more than 20 years of experience in massage therapy I am confident that I can assist you with my mobile service - whether you have been spending too long driving, or working in front of a screen, have been engaging in strenuous exercise or just feel the need to relax and unwind.
I am happy to treat adults of all ages, and from all walks of life. Massage therapy is ideal for keeping muscles supple and easing irritating aches. A number of clients have used my services for many years; some have general aches and stiff muscles. Others seek massage as part of their body maintenance, while many simply appreciate that a relaxing massage at home is one of those good things that life has to offer. Why not indulge now and again, without the journey home?
For those who need a massage at home in Suffolk or along the Essex border I bring a professional, sturdy, portable massage couch, along with all towels and oils. All clients need to provide is a warm and quiet space. Now semi-retired, I enjoy the luxury of not "clock-watching" so have the time to fully appreciate my clients' needs. These days I tend not to work many evenings/weekends but appreciate that while this suits retired clients, some people still have to work! Accordingly, I am able to offer some Saturday slots if booked in advance.
My hybrid style has its foundations in Swedish Massage and has evolved over the years, through Continuing Professional Development, to include a range of advanced and deep-tissue techniques. However, massage is but one skill in a range of possible solutions, and if it feels that you might achieve more by spending your money with a physio-therapist or osteopath, then I'll tell you so!
I was a full member of Independent Professional Therapists International (IPTI) until the organisation was disbanded at the end of 2020. Professional Indemnity Insurance as an independent therapist continues through WellBeing Insurance.
