About me

Hello and welcome. I’m Judith and I am qualified in the Bowen Technique, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage, working from clinics in St Annes (Fit and Well Therapies) Wrea Green (Ribby Hall Health Club) and Penwortham (Chakra Yoga Studio) helping my clients with a variety of conditions including neck, back and other joint pain, asthma, headaches and migraine, anxiety and stress relief, and improving nerve stimulation and immune system function.

As a Complementary Therapist, my aim is to help people to feel better by allowing the body to heal itself and promote pain management and a general sense of well-being.

I qualified in the Bowen Technique in 2012 after receiving regular Bowen sessions myself for a prolapsed disc in my lower back which had occurred several years earlier. I had tried many other therapies and although they had helped to a certain point, I was struggling with numbness in my foot and couldn’t walk without a limp until I gave Bowen a try.

Bowen was recommended to me by a friend and after experiencing the powerful way in which it changed my life for the better, I would like all my clients to reap the benefits of this amazing therapy, just as I have done. This gentle but effective hands on holistic therapy is suitable for all ages, including babies.

Reflexology encourages the body to heal any current disorders, helps to relieve pain and the effects of stress whilst encouraging better circulation and elimination of waste products from the body. It can also help to improve nerve stimulation and like Bowen, it can promote general relaxation and well-being.

Bowen Therapy session

Each session is tailored to you and your presenting issues, so it can last anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes. During this time a series of movements are made over specific muscles, tendons and soft tissue. Breaks are taken after each set of moves where I leave the room for a few minutes to allow the body the time and space to respond to the moves. The moves can be made through light clothing

An initial set of 3 sessions, one week apart is recommended during which time it is also recommended that other physical therapies such as physiotherapy should not be undertaken.

I have a special interest in helping clients who have back pain to manage their symptoms and in improving the lives of people who suffer from stress and anxiety

Reflexology Session

Following an initial consultation, the session will start with some relaxation moves on the feet before I work on the reflex areas of the feet which are a mirror of the body and can help to identify areas that are sensitive or out of balance. Relaxation techniques are applied at the end of the session and the whole treatment will last for 45 minutes. Clients find the treatment deeply relaxing and often report that they feel like they are ‘walking on air’ at the end of a session.

Indian Head Massage

An Indian Head Massage session involves the application of a variety of massage and pressure techniques on the upper back, shoulders, neck, head and the face. Benefits may include relaxation, a sense of well-being, improvement in sleep, improved blood and lymph circulation, easing of aches and pains, relief of headaches and tension and improved energy levels.

If you would like to discuss how The Bowen Technique, Reflexology or Indian Head Massage could help you, please give me a call on 07505 000724. Don’t delay, make that call today and take the first step on the road to better health and pain management.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Judith.

I had lower back and hip ache and was quite sceptical about this therapy as with little hands-on approach I wasn’t sure this would work. I trusted Judith and the process and a few days after I felt the aches and pains had shifted and after a week - gone! It is very relaxing and beneficial, painless and non-invasive and I would definitely recommend it. NW - Preston

I had a sore shoulder and a pulled hamstring which prevented me from playing tennis and being comfortable in bed. I had Bowen for headaches and sinus pain, a stiff neck, aching shoulders and stress. The headaches had made me feel depressed and caused my energy levels to drop. I found the treatment very relaxing and I believe that the pressure applied to certain points in my body encouraged the lymph to flow and the advice on drinking water and keeping moving helped to relieve my headaches and joint pain MS - Fleetwood

My jaw was treated which has stopped me from biting the inside of my mouth. My back has been a problem most of my life so I am very impressed with Bowen MT - St Annes

My two and a half month old baby had bad colic and nothing was helping. Bowen came highly recommended and after one treatment his colic had gone. We recommend Bowen to anyone, the results were amazing MA - Cleveleys

I had a Bowen treatment principally due to neck pain and really bad headaches. I found it difficult to concentrate and think clearly so had stopped driving. I often had to cancel outings and social activities at short notice because of the headaches. I have been delighted with the benefits I have derived from Bowen. Not only have the headaches and neck pain disappeared, I have had boundless energy and my brain is working at the level it used to many years ago. My breathing is much improved (I have COPD) and my constipation has been resolved. I can’t recommend the treatment highly enough and I will be resuming driving again soon EP - St Annes

I had sciatica which affected everything I did. I was in constant pain and I was unable to sleep or get comfortable when sitting or driving. Since having Bowen, I have been able to resume my usual routines and found the treatment a lovely calm experience  which produced a wonderful pain free outcome SA - Preston

I had pain and stiffness in my upper arms and shoulders which restricted movement and interrupted my sleep pattern. The Bowen treatment has tackled the pain and discomfort from the upper body and enabled a recovery process with specific exercises enabling my mobility and improvement in well-being. The process and treatment was non-invasive, providing confidence that side effects or risks would be minimised . My experience in summary was that Bowen was a refreshing and effective treatment that allowed me to resume normal activity and movement GY - Lytham

I had a stiff neck and back irritated by computer work which prevented me from sitting for long periods and I was in pain when working on my computer. Judith put me at ease and took a history of my condition and general health. She carried out the treatment calmly and professionally and I was able to fully relax and enjoy the treatment. I would recommend Judith as a Bowen therapist as I have been able to resume all my activities without any problems after 3 treatments EW - Preston

I was suffering from neck and back pain which prevented me from exercising, impacted my sleep and made me struggle to sit at work. I had tried classic physio which had minimal, limited impact. I was intrigued and was willing to give Bowen a try even though I wasn’t sure what it was. It has enhanced my life considerably. I am sleeping so much better and the pain and inflammation has reduced significantly. I was on Naproxen daily for 6 months and I now haven’t taken any anti-inflammatories for the last month AG - St Annes
