About me
I have been practicing Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder) since 2003. I see a wide variety of people treating lymphoedema, lipoedema, post vaser liposuction oedema & post-surgery oedema as well as for detox and well-being. The therapy may help with many other conditions.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) works by encouraging your lymphatic system to work better and also build new lymph fluid pathways. The massage is carried out dry and just with skin to skin contact. It is a gentle rhythmical massage that is normally pain free and very relaxing.
I see a wide variety of people of all ages at the centre with an even wider range of needs. Professional advice is always sought when needed to ensure you are safe to receive MLD and a practical approach to expected benefits is undertaken and explained.
Appointments last for one hour generally.
Training, qualifications & experience
ITEC Diploma in Anatomy Physiology & Body Massage. 2002
Manual Lymphatic Drainage CDT Dr. Vodder School 2003 with bi-annual training updates undertaken.
Following my training in 2003, I started working at The Natural Health Centre in early 2004 (maternity leave break). I have worked here in a multi-disciplinary clinic almost continually for 20 years.
During this time I have also worked at Bupa Dunedin and a couple of other smaller private clinics but am now settled at the one place.
