About me
I am a passionate Alexander Technique teacher and have been working with various clients who want to improve their posture and wellbeing or need to deal with their daily physical and emotional pain or discomfort.
Some of my clients suffer from repetitive strain injuries, clicky jaw, sciatica, shoulders, back and neck pain, hip pain, hypermobility, emotional stress or just unnecessary muscular tension.
As well as teaching one to one privately, I am gaining experience with musicians at the Royal College of Music. I also have experience on working with actors.
Why choosing me? I always look into improving my knowledge of the Technique by attending workshop and seminars. These have allowed me to expand my repertoire in my teaching. I have a rage of tools that I can apply according to the needs of the client.
I am also currently running two courses "Are you suffering from 21st Century posture?" (presented with another local Alexander Teacher) and "Alexander technique for mums and babies". I have three children, work as a Kodály teacher (Colourstrings music) and am continuing my interests in mind and body techniques through exploring other disciplines like Buteko (I am a Buteyko practitioner) and Bates.
The Alexander Technique has helped me significantly with regaining energy and coping with a busy life. Working with the mind and my emotions has also had tremendous benefits on how I stand, walk and use my body. I used to hold my shoulders so tight that they were almost as close as my ears. I now stand and move with balance and poise.
Training, qualifications & experience
As well as being a qualified Alexander Technique teacher (I am a member of my qualification organization STAT) I also practise as a Buteyko breathing teacher (I am a member of MBBA) dealing with respiratory issues such asthma, anxiety, allergies and panic attacks.
