About me

'Touch brings the body into Presence.'

Touch is vital for our physical and emotional balance and well-being.  Caring touch helps us to feel safe and connected. This enables us to deeply relax, recharge and reset the nervous system.

I offer sensitive and intuitive massage to support you towards feeling more grounded and embodied. 

Much of our stress, anxiety, tension and trauma is lodged in the body.  Release at the physical level allows the system to realign and reduces the holding that contributes to pain and dis-ease. 

Administering Essential Oils as an integral part of your treatment can help soothe the nervous system and restore a sense of balance.  This subtle, yet effective way of working, can re-connect us with the calm and peace that supports the body's natural healing processes.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Aromatherapy,  a certificate in Indian head massage, a certificate in dynamic body work and a certificate in hands-free massage.  I am also certified in Reiki, to Master level and have taught a small number of students.  I have practised in a private practice setting and taught massage skills in an Adult Education setting.  I recently completed a course in massage and trauma. I am a certified Hakomi somatic-therapy practitioner.  My training and qualifications were gained through the Hakomi Education Network.  I was trained and accredited by Breathworks CIC, as a Mindfulness teacher and trainer and by Bangor University as a Mindfulness Supervisor.  I see these disciplines as informing and supporting each other as integrated Mind-Body therapies.

Additional information

I charge £50 per session.  The first Aromatherapy session is 1.5 hours, at a fee of £75.  Until the end of 2021, I am offering an introductory rate of £35 for the first session.  Free 30 minute consultations by phone or zoom are available to discuss how Massage may help.  

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
