About me

I qualified at the London College of Cranio-Sacral therapy in July 2007 and have been practicing, ever since in Cardiff. I am a member of the CSTA , and attend regular ongoing training and workshops to enhance and deepen my practice.

Over the years I have worked with many people, each person bringing their own unique story and particular health issues. Craniosacral therapy encourages a curiosity and an open enquiry to explore what is here with us right now. Listening to the clients body via gentle contact, a safe space is created that allows unwinding and release within the many layers of experience, held in the body.

What I have found is that there is often stress and anxiety playing a part, sometimes at the forefront but often it's just quietly flickering in the background. Craniosacral therapy can help soothe and reset the nervous system into a more settled place. This in turn can relieve symptoms or help adjust our relationship to them, so they are less overwhelming.

During a session, you lie fully clothed on a treatment couch with pillows to support you and a blanket. Generally, craniosacral therapy is felt in the body in subtle ways, such as warmth, softening, tightening then releasing and deep relaxation. Sometimes memories come up and this is all part of the process of the body unwinding. Over the following few days, the treatment continues to integrate.

I encourage clients to listen and notice what is going on within them and connect with that intuitive knowing of what we need to help us. I might suggest activities to bring in, to support this process, such as resting, journaling and tai chi.
