VTCT Level 3 sports massage
This practitioner level qualification forms a strong foundation for progressing onto the Level 4 Sports Massage qualification.
You will be required to attend 10 individual training days at the centre, these are around four weeks apart.
Relevant anatomy, physiology and pathology, massage techniques, benefits and effects, contra indications and contra actions, consultation and record-keeping, treatment planning and evaluations, working posture, client care and after-care advice, health, safety and hygiene, principles of health, fitness, healthy lifestyle and healthy eating, principles of soft tissue dysfunction, client assessments including posture, movement patterns and palpation, adaptations for pre, inter/intra, post and maintenance massage, case studies, supported home study.
To help with your studies, you will be supplied with a digital copy of VTCT’s anatomy and physiology and study support booklets.
No previous experience is needed as everything will be covered within this training including learning and adapting massage for different objectives/outcomes plus more specific sports-related knowledge.
Safe practice information
Our COVID adaptations are robust, adhering to professional (FHT and SMA) and awarding (VTCT) body guidelines. All tutors have completed rigorous accredited Infection Prevention qualifications, PPE will be worn for all close contact practical work.
Should COVID rules change, the training will be re-scheduled or any payments made can be refunded. For VTCT qualifications, refunds cannot be made once the training has started.
We deliver professional qualifications in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. All our tutors are working therapists each with over 20 years of relevant experience and practical knowledge. Your training group will be small, usually no more than 4 students, to ensure maximum individual attention. Other training dates can be organised on request.
