About me
Dr Fang Wang has over 3-decade extensive clinical experience, teachings and is well-known acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine and neurology, academic. She trained and qualified as a Medical Doctor in both Chinese and Western Medicine in Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with a five-year program in the early 1980s. Dr Wang became an M.D. in Acupuncture (With Neurology).
She had been working in Fuzhou of China General Hospital and China-Japan Friendship Hospital (Beijing). Throughout 16 years of her career in the hospital, she worked up from being a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Physician to Chief Physician of the TCM Department and accumulated extensive clinical experience. She is an executive member of the China Acupuncture Association in 2000.
Dr Wang has advanced acupuncture skills and excellent traditional Chinese medicine skills, and always obtains an effective result. Many patients came to the hospital due to her reputation and experience. Dr Wang not only explains the cause of the pain or disease from a Traditional Chinese Medicine point of view but also explains why acupuncture and Chinese medicine can relieve the pain, cure the disease and improve body functioning. Highly gifted and trained since youth in quick, expert and correct diagnoses of almost all conditions and diseases.
In 1984, she entered the Department of Acupuncture (One of the earliest BSc providers in acupuncture and neurology), Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and gained experience from several general hospitals. Following on, she got a BSc in 1989 at Distinction level, then worked in the largest teaching Hospital in Fuzhou where many famous senior doctors supervised her work.
In 1996, she was promoted to Chief Physician whereupon she assumed the responsibility for overseeing the medical care in the department, acupuncture teaching and research.
In 1997-98, the hospital got her into China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Beijing to gain further insights and do cutting-edge research. Then, she returned to serve as the chief of the department.
In 2000, she was appointed as Vice Director in Acupuncture in China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion (CAAM).
