About us

Established in 2006 by our Clinical Director Ross Tomkins we are flexible and innovative Physiotherapy Company who now operate with a core team of therapists each of whom have a specific area of expertise and operate an extensive network of trusted and continually audited therapists and clinics in order to provide nationwide cover to clients of all sizes.

Whether in one of our modern fully equipped clinics or in the comfort of your own home, Therapy Direct Healthcare can provide an evidence based treatment plan aimed at restoring normal pain free function and improving your over all health and well being. Our sole focus is to achieve optimal and outstanding outcomes that meet and exceed your expectations by focusing on treating the cause, not just the symptoms of your discomfort. We take the time to get to know you and your condition, before treating and then teaching you how to significantly reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

Training, qualifications & experience

All therapists are registered with the HCPC and CSP and members of Physiofirst and AACP.

Ross qualified in 1999 with a BSC (Hons) from Teesside University and has worked primarily within the sports medicine and occupational health fields ever since. Working with some of the world's largest companies such as Nissan and PepsiCo piqued his interest in ergonomics. However, smaller endeavours like a volunteer trip to Romania served to broaden his horizons within the health field. It was working in such varied environments where the importance of flexibility soon became apparent and in 2006 Therapy Direct was born in order to best serve his clients and modern society's needs. Continuous professional development has been of paramount importance and he regularly attends post-graduate courses in order to keep up to date with current research and the latest treatment techniques. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, Snow Boarding, Scuba Diving, Trekking and Golf.
