The Open Door is a Complementary Health Centre with a professional and committed team of experienced therapists offering a wide range of treatments in the centre of Lewes, East Sussex.
We currently offer:- Acupuncture, Alexander Technique, Allergy Testing, Aromatherapy, Biodynamic Massage, Counselling, Craniosacral Therapy, Clinical Massage, Ear Candling, EFT, EMDR, Hot Stones Massage, Holistic Massage, Homeopathy, Hypnotherapy, Mindful Eating, NLP, Nutritional Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Psychotherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Spiritual Counselling, Stress Management, Structural Massage, Tui Na and Individual Tuition/Yoga Therapy.
We also have a wonderful Events Space for weekly, fortnightly and monthly classes and workshops. We currently offer regular Mindfulness, Meditation, Qigong and Yoga classes along with Writing workshops, Biodynamic Massage workshops and Medicine Wheel Training.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Acupuncture Council
As the UKs largest professional body of acupuncturists the BAcC guarantee excellence in training, safe practice and professional conduct.
All members of the BAcC (MBAcC) have BSc or BA degree level training or its equivalent in traditional acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and western biomedical sciences including anatomy, physiology and pathology.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
CNHC is the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. Its key function is to enhance public protection by setting standards for registration with CNHC.
Members must abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics and hold current professional indemnity insurance.

Federation of Holistic Therapists
FHT is the largest multi-disciplinary therapy organisation in the UK and has been representing holistic, beauty and sports therapists for over 45 years.
There a number of different membership categories (including Fellows, Member, Student, Associate and Non-Practitioner) which are dependent on qualifications and experience.
FHT enforce high professional standards, and all Members, Fellows and Student Members are required to follow a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique
Teaching members of STAT are registered (MSTAT) to teach the Technique after completing an approved three-year training course or having reached a standard approved by STAT.
They are also required to adhere to the Society's published Code of Professional Conduct and Competence, and are covered by professional indemnity insurance.
