About us
Templewood Clinic is a small friendly practice that was started by Steven Butcher in 1994. Since then the clinic has grown and now has 2 Osteopaths a complimentary therapist who offers various types of massage including sports massage together with Reflexology.
All therapists are fully qualified and undergo regular professional development in order to maintain and improve their skills and knowledge.
Our aim is to provide the best advice and treatment to help you get back to normal.
Most health insurance companies are accepted by our osteopaths and MRI scans can be arranged if required.
Training, qualifications & experience
Steven Butcher qualified in 1993 as an Osteopath and is registered with the general osteopathic council (GOSc) has since studied Medical Acupuncture.
Previously lectured and examined at The London School of Osteopathy.
Steven attends the gym weekly training with weights and is particularly interested in how muscles can be specifically engaged and be made to fire correctly in order to develop them. He uses this knowledge to give advice on exercise and rehabilitation to his patients.
In the past Steven has played golf ( badly ! ) been taught to box and ridden horses.
Outside of the clinic Steven is interested in eating healthly and cooking as well as photography and gardening.

General Osteopathic Council
It is against the law for anyone in the UK to practice using the title 'Osteopath' without registering with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
This professional body regulates all osteopaths in the UK and sets and promotes high standards of competency, conduct and safety.
