Sophie Esdaile MAR
As a holistic therapy, reflexology works not only on a physical level but also an emotional and spiritual one. It encourages the body to tap into its own self-healing ability, across a broad range of complaints such as stress and aniety, depression, breathing and digestive disorders, low energy levels, musculo/skeletal aches and pains, hormonal imbalances and fertility issues to name but a few.
Reflexology is deeply relaxing - you may simply choose to have a treatment to help you unwind from your busy life, recharge your battery and enjoy a little "me" time. I often combine meditation within a treatment as the benefits of learning to still the busy mind and to ground yourself can have very profound benefits.
I have a practicular interest in maternity reflexology. Regular treatments during pregnancy can bring relief for digestive issues, fluid retention, fluctuating energy levels to name but a few and nearer to your due date, I work with you to ensure that you are birth ready from an emotional point of view.
I have treated many ladies who are having trouble in conceiving and combine deep relaxation techniques within the treatment, as often non-clinical fertility problems rest with the subconcious mind and unresolved emotional issues.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages, from babies to the elderly.
