I am a Holistic Massage Therapist based in Charmouth, Bridport, West Dorset.
For comfort and convenience, I offer mobile visits in and around Bridport, Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Axminster. I also offer clinic appointments at Axminster Health and Wellbeing Centre.
I qualified as a Holistic Massage Therapist from the Academy of Natural Health in London in 2008. I have since practised from complementary health clinics, a doctor's surgery and an osteopathic clinic. I have also worked as a mobile therapist since 2010 in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
I am passionate about healthy living and self-care, and aim to support clients in taking control of their own health and wellbeing.
I love adding new skills to my practice and regularly undertake Continuing Professional Development. I have recently completed training in remedial techniques at the School of Bodywork in Exeter. I am currently training in hands-free massage at the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork.
About Holistic Massage
Holistic Massage incorporates a unique blend of traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and remedial techniques. Swedish massage reduces the effects of stress, including headaches, fatigue and anxiety. Deep tissue massage and remedial techniques treat chronic conditions and injuries, and effectively relieve aches and pains.
Holistic Massage takes into consideration your physical, mental and emotional health. No two massages are the same - each session is completely tailored to you, depending on what you need from your massage on the day.
What to expect
Your initial appointment includes a full health and lifestyle consultation, which is an opportunity for you to talk through any health concerns, and for us to create a suitable treatment plan together.
Each session includes a massage tailored to your needs and wishes, and a short space for feedback and aftercare at the end. This may include a stretch and/or relaxation technique, which will help to prolong the benefits of your massage.
For mobile visits, I bring everything to your home or holiday accommodation, including towels and organic oils. My massage table is very comfortable and has an integrated arm rest, which gets rave reviews from clients! All that is required from you is a suitable space to set up the massage table with enough room for me to move freely around it, and a quiet environment so that you can fully relax.
"I started having regular massages from Sarah as part of my therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome. They are such a treat to look forward to. Sarah is incredibly intuitive and sensitive in her approach - sensing what my body needs session by session and tailoring different forms of massage to suit. It is definitely a holistic therapy - leaving emotions as well as physical body in a calm state post session. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to enhance their sense of wellbeing." Chantal
"I started having regular massages to help with neck pain and to complement sessions with a chiropractor. Each massage and consultation has been tailored to me, and has left me feeling relaxed and pain-free. Sarah is calm and intuitive, adjusting the massage to suit me, and all in the comfort of my own home." Dawn
"The best massages I've ever had! Completely tailored to me and Sarah has such a gentle, peaceful approach. Would absolutely recommend for both physical and mental wellbeing." Alexa
After a recent running injury I had my first massage with Sarah and she really helped ease the pain and discomfort. She provided a friendly and professional service." John
