About me
Acupuncturist & Trigger point Massage
Sandra Bufano Bsc (Hons) MBAcC
I am a registered and fully insured Acupuncturist, member of the British Acupuncture Council.
My treatments , depending on the patient needs, can be a combination of Acupuncture, Electro Acupuncture, Tui Na massage, Moxibustion and Cupping.
In addition, I have developed a strong interest in Myofascial realise or trigger points therapy that I use in combination with Acupuncture, particularly in the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions for sport injuries as shin splints and Achilles tendon pain and stiffness. As well as more wide spread conditions as arthritic pain, sciatica and tennis elbow.
Acupuncture is recommended by NICE for back pain and by the World Health Organisation for headaches. It is also successfully used in fertility treatments. My area of interest include:
- Pain management, back pain ,sciatica ,arthritis, headaches, migraines
-
Menstrual disorders and infertility
-
Stress, anxiety, depression and emotional well being
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated from UEL in London and I also hold a diploma from the Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine where I undertook part of my training.
For the past few years I have been collaborating with St Mungo's Broadway running a clinic providing massage and acupuncture in support of people with addiction and homeless issues. In addition to my private practice, have also been working in care homes to support older people with a variety of issues, from anxiety to stop smoking.
