About me

Hello, my name is Sam a professional psychotherapeutic counsellor with 23 years experience in holistic therapies and a Reiki Master/Karuna Reiki practitioner. I work with young children, young adults and adults aged 4 to 86. I'm an approachable, empathic person who uses holistic intervention to suit your individual needs. Whether you require a talking therapy or spiritual healing I will ensure a safe and non-judgemental space to provide you with the support you need to get yourself back to full recovery and to maintain your well-being.

I provide holistic intervention of different therapies as a package to help with your individual wellbeing.

Is your teenager in need of emotional support, have they been diagnosed with cancer or any other disease, are they being bullied or have trouble with their self esteem, have they lost a parent/s? I work with them every day and can provide an extra support for your child.

Does your child have trauma attachment, ADHD, ASD or any other label. Does it affect your while family? Are you in need of parental support?

If you're looking for someone to talk to, I'll provide you with psychotherapeutic counselling looking at every area of your life, giving you structure and ability to succeed and look at life in a positive way.

If you're looking for Reflexology I provide a beautiful crystal zone therapy which is a painless foot massage, clearing your meridian lines removing all blocks in your energy flow and re-engerising your body, mind and spirit.

If your looking for acupuncture, crystal therapy is an alternative way of unblocking your energy lines without any intrusion to your skin.

If you're stuck and no-one seems to be able to help you, look no further I can help you unravel your needs and help motivate you get your life back in order.

All holistic therapies are given with Reiki where I am a master, teacher and practitioner.

'Life can be a challenge and even though friends and family can be amazing support it can be difficult to express and be completely open with your feelings to someone so close, usually through protecting them or feeling embarrassed.'

In my mid twenties I contracted ovarian cancer followed by a further three cancers and received acute chemotherapy. This experience has given a full understanding of the psychological and life long effects that cancer or any other life threatening disease can bring.

No matter your experience if you have lost your self confidence, have low self-esteem, feel fatigued and have no motivation you could be setting yourself up for a large dose of depression let alone, feeling angry, withdrawn, fearful, intimidated, guilty, sensitive, ashamed and maybe feel there's no way out.

Having any long term illness, mental stress/disease or trauma can make it hard to keep self-pride and dignity. All of this affects our closest relationships. It’s a powerful message which starts to legitimise, what you or someone close to you might feel.

My empathy and compassion will ensure a space that you will feel safe to express yourself without fear of judgement. You will be heard and supported throughout your journey to recovery with my intervention of multi model theories and therapies to help you understand and sustain how you can help yourself get back on your feet and feel an inner peace and self motivation which will support getting you back to a comfortable space in your life.

I run my own business from home now as this provides a secure and safe space for any sensitive or overwhelming issues which need time and space. I also work with South Gloucestershire council Integra team, working with children from age 5 to 18.

Throughout 2015 I worked in Cancer Services at the Royal United Hospital in Bath running a weekly  counselling clinic for cancer patients.

If things are feeling confusing or overwhelming and you don't know where to turn, don't suffer alone, take a deep breathe, call 0790 427 0420 and ask for Sam.

Over the last 24 years I have worked with clients who have been mentally exhausted and tormented by life events. People who have felt suicidal with nowhere to turn. I have supported them in their darkness using holistic interventions to help them back to recovery.

I've worked with directors, managers, army officers and housewives helping them to find self awareness, look at situations in a different way to overcome their fears and achieve their goals by changing self beliefs, self defeating behaviours and understanding their life experiences.

Whilst working with cancer patients at the Royal United Hospital I provided weekly support to help  patients with their self confidence and self esteem by helping them to change their thought patterns, teaching them mindfulness, visualisation, giving them mental exercises to encourage them to take back control to stop negative thought patterns to ensure a positive mental attitude, encouraging them to want to engage with the world and take on their new challenge of life once again.

Crystal Therapy

Full Body Massage, Crystal Zone Therapy, Face, Hand massage and Reiki - 1 Hour £45 or 90 Minutes £60 (A package can be made to fit your budget, please see below)

We all know that a quartz watch keeps perfect time without the aid of a battery. Now imagine 6 clear quartz crystals connected around your body pulling on the gravity of your core and recharging your inner energy lines and energy points. The energy lines are your meridian lines and your energy points your chakras. Once surrounded your body will be recharged to keep motivation. Like the clear quartz watch keeping perfect timing, crystals can reignite your own natural energy to keep perfect balance.

How does crystal therapy work?

Crystal therapy was a natural everyday use back in Egyptian times and is based on the premise that crystals can, in a sense, communicate with the energies flowing around the human body and work with our brain waves. Scientist have proven that liquid crystal will pick up on the energy of our brain waves and grow to the shape you might be thinking about. On a microscopic level a crystal is a network of repeating geometric patterns made up of compressed ions, atoms and molecules. Every crystal has its own unique electromagnetic charge. These charges, or 'healing vibrations' interact with the body's energy centre to remove 'blockages' and restore a healthy flow through your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self.

Each crystal holds properties with unique healing power depending on where it is placed on the body. The crystals will be carefully chosen for you dependent on your own individual needs and placed on and around areas of the body in a grid-like fashion designed to stimulate your energy.

Sometimes the colour of the crystal will be chosen to correspond with the colour of each energy point corresponding to each chakra within the body giving your body an energy charge. I also choose to use colour therapy using pure silks to cover your body, ensuring you feel comfortable throughout your treatment.

Over the last 10 years my experience of using crystals have continuously inspired me with how they accelerate healing and give an overwhelming amount of relaxation and feeling loved. Using my well developed intuition, empathy and sensitivity I can pick up the emotional state of my clients and use the relevant crystals properties to help them feel at peace, motivated, re-engergised and really balanced enabling them to become the best they can in any given situation. With lemon oils, lavender and rose water and a mixture of essential oils it's truly an amazing, relaxing experience. With benefits lasting up to one month.

What should I wear?

You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment, although the best clothing to wear is leggings and a t-shirt with socks that can be removed for that lovely foot massage.

What if I can't afford the full massage?

Don't worry, if you are on a budget, I will adapt mix and match a crystal therapy package that suits you. Ensuring the healing experience still takes place. Choose a package to suit you.

-Crystal Zone Therapy (Similar to Reflexology to clear the meridian lines) - £30

Ayurveydic Indian Head Massage - £45 for 1 hour session
Mobile Service available (add 45p per mile)

Group Ladies parties (£25 each 3-6 people plus mileage)
- 20 minute Indian head massage each
- Reiki and clairvoyant reading

Wonderfully relaxing, Indian head massage is based on the Ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. It involves a massage to the head, face, upper back, shoulders and arms that relieves tension in the muscles; it can be relaxing, stimulating and invigorating.

What does it help?

Helps prevent migraines, headaches and back pain

Often tension in the upper back, neck and head can lead to migraines, headaches and back pain which can make for uncomfortable living on a day to day basis and sometimes even lead to depression.

Promotes hair growth

This is a lovely side effect of the Indian Head Massage (if you’re trying to grow your hair anyway…). The massage increases nourishment and oxygen to the scalp and hair follicle which in turns stimulates hair growth. It’s a one way ticket to long, luscious locks!

Detoxifies the body by stimulating lymphatic drainage

Indian Head Massage stimulates and improves lymphatic drainage and blood flow to the neck thus helping to remove waste products from the body.

Relieves sleeplessness, restlessness and insomnia

These are often side-effects of stress and Indian Head Massage will immediately relieve stress and promote relaxation by attacking the physical symptoms, thus allowing for a deeper sense of well-being and relaxation and opening your body to better rest.

Relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression

Massaging the head encourages the supply of oxygen to the brain which is one of the best ways of reducing anxiety and of lifting one’s mood. Oxygen helps you think clearly and creatively and a similar effect is experienced through exercise.

Renews energy levels

An Indian Head Massage works with the Ayurvedic concept which goes beyond the limits of healing and places emphasis on balance. Working on the chakras through Indian Massage has a powerful effect in bringing the energy of the body back into balance.

Boosts memory capabilities

Often we have short-term memory difficulties because our brains are overloaded with disorganised thoughts, making it very difficult for us to efficiently ‘log’ and collect thoughts and occurrences.

Indian Head Massage slows us down, sensual awareness takes over, thoughts quieten and awareness is brought to the forefront. Think of it like someone pressing your ‘reset’ button.

Reiki -
1 Hour £45 or 30 mins £30
What is Reiki?

Reiki is a system of spiritual healing or ‘energy’ medicine which is similar to the laying on of hands. I believe in the existence of a universal energy which I can access in order to generate healing effects in humans, animals and plants. This universal energy flows through my hands upon or close to the recipient. This enhances the recipient’s own healing potential. The approach may lack biological plausibility but I cannot deny my own experiences where I've helped many people including my sister where she survived 8 cancers and I myself.

Reiki is popular far beyond Japan, where it was developed in the early part of the twentieth century by Dr Mikao Usui during a period of fasting and meditation on Mount Kurama. It is used for treating all medical conditions, for improving quality of life or for preventing disease, and balancing emotional upset. Reiki will help you holistically treating your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual self.

A treatment session would normally involve lying down on a massage table fully clothed where I will lay my hands onto your head, eyes, ears, throat, chest, above and below your belly button. your hips, knees and feet to transmit healing energy. A session may last for about an hour and most patients would experience it as intensely relaxing with heat being generated into their body..

I offer concessions for low income families so don't feel you can't afford support, it is available, just ask.

My passion is to help others. If you feel you're a burden to others or hear yourself telling strangers your inner most thoughts or if you're bottling everything up and you hear your inner thoughts saying 'what's the point?!', there's no need to suffer any longer. Give yourself permission to spend some time on healing yourself, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

We often spend our money on material things for the home, a new hair do, manicure or pedicure. We buy things in the hope of some retail therapy. So, instead of putting a plaster over that troubled empty hole, consider some inner peace with holistic therapy, you may find you start feeling human again, feel motivated, have new goals, start looking at things in a different light and in the long run actually save hundreds of pounds in the process.

If you want a quick chat to see how holistic therapy can help you. Pick up a phone, dial 0790 427 0420 and ask for Sam.

If you have been diagnosed with or suspect you may have a pre-existing medical condition you should consult your GP for advice, diagnosis and treatment and always inform your health professional before starting any alternative or additional therapies, treatments or making any major changes in your diet or exercise programme.
