About me

My name is Rita Mikalauskas, BSc (Hons) and I'm a Complementray Therapy Practitioner based in Brixham, Devon.  I have been practicing since 2003 and work from a treatment room attached to my home

I am listed on the FHT Complementary Healthcare Therapist Register, which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), under its Accredited Voluntary Register (AVR) scheme, so you can be sure you're in good hands.
I also offer Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage) Bowen Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Tai Chi & Qigong

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained with the European College of Bowen Studies, hold a VCTV accredited diploma in A & P and IHM & Tui Na.  I am also a qualified Taiji & Qigong Instructor and member of TCUGB.

FHT is the largest multi-disciplinary therapy organisation in the UK and has been representing holistic, beauty and sports therapists for over 45 years.

There a number of different membership categories (including Fellows, Member, Student, Associate and Non-Practitioner) which are dependent on qualifications and experience.

FHT enforce high professional standards, and all Members, Fellows and Student Members are required to follow a strict Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
