Nunhead Osteopathy Practice
A team of experienced osteopaths offering affordable healthcare to patients of all ages. As highly qualified experts in the field of paediatric osteopathy, we also offer specialist treatment for babies and children.
Appointments are available with Nancy Nunn, Aidan Spencer, Emma Hayward and Laura Wheatley. We are located near Peckham Rye, on the borders of East Dulwich, Honor Oak and Brockley. We have full disabled access and baby-changing facilities.
No-one is too old or too young for osteopathy. Our patients include the young, older people, manual workers, office workers, pregnant women, children and sports people. Adults seek treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including back pain, pregnancy posture changes, postural problems caused by driving or occupation and sports injuries.
Training, qualifications & experience
Osteopaths are required to undergo a minimum of four years undergraduate training and must demonstrate competence in clinical diagnosis and patient care in order to qualify. All osteopaths working in the UK are required to be on the Register of Osteopaths, held by the General Osteopathic Council (official state regulator, equivalent to the General Medical Council) who are responsible for maintaining standards and safe practice.
All our osteopaths have chosen to undergo further training in paediatric osteopathy and cranial osteopathy. We require a minimum level of postgraduate training for all osteopaths who treat babies or children. We receive many referrals from local midwives, health visitors, lactation consultants and other professionals. Nancy Nunn, Aidan Spencer and Emma Hayward also work at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. Nancy and Aidan are experienced teachers of paediatric osteopathy at postgraduate level.
