Leyland Physiotherapy is a well established business offering a first class service for over 35 years. We have a team of ten very experienced/senior Chartered Physiotherapists offering a prompt, professional and friendly service. We pride ourselves on providing ‘hand on’ therapy, education and a thorough exercise programme tailored to every patient.
Extensive refurbishment has been undertaken to provide four fully equipped treatment rooms (including lasers/interferential/ultrasound/hydraulic beds/traction/clinical pilates/exercise equipment/parallel bars). We have recently invested in a Shockwave Machine which is a highly effective treatment of Tendon-related pain. Wheelchair access and car park facilities are also available.
We are preferred providers for GPs, consultants, intermediaries and leading insurance companies due to our standards and commitment to work in line with clinical governance.
We have expertise in all manner of Musculo-skeletal injury and neurological conditions including stroke rehabilitation. Patients are offered an appointment within 48 hours where possible. We offer early morning/evening and weekend appointments to try and accommodate busy life styles.
This practice uses TM3 computerised booking system which allows us to monitor outcomes and efficiently manage our diary.
Training, qualifications & experience
All our Physiotherapists are highly experienced, chartered and registered with the Health Professions Council. We have extensive experience in treating all manner of musculoskeletal injury and also in Neurological conditions.
We pride ourselves on offering a 'hands on' approach to treatment.
Treatments include Massage, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, cupping, acupuncture, electrotherapy, (including laser therapy, interferential, ultrasound), and shockwave therapy.
Acupuncture is provided by therapists registered with the AACP.
Traction is used in the clinic for patients with pain radiating into the leg or arm.
We also offer physio-led Pilates Classes.

Initial Assessment - £45.00 which includes treatment and home exercise programme
Subsequent treatments are £40.00
