About me

My name is Lynda Newman-Miller, I live and was born in Torquay! a Torquinian! we're rare.
I became fascinated by the power of Shiatsu as a Treatment whilst working in the Airline business, where long hours, jet lag and stress were an every day of my Life.

By chance, at a time where I had also lost several members of my immediate family in a short space of time, happened upon a free Shiatsu given by the Devon School of Shiatsu.
I had not been sleeping well, was exhausted but living on adrenaline alone.

After one session I could not believe the positive effect it had on me!
It allowed me to let go and finally grieve, I slept well for the first time in years and felt positive and energised.

From then on in I was hooked, 1 year later I started to train as a Shiatsu Practitioner, and found it balanced my Life EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, and SPIRITUALLY!

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been a Shiatsu Practitioner since 2003, full time since 2008.
I trained for 3 years and graduated from the Devon School of Shiatsu in 2006

I then assisted at the same school for 3 years, along with many Workshops.

I have give Workshops,
Offer Seated Shiatsu in markets/fairs, offices and local businesses.

I also am qualified in ANMA a Japanese hands on body treatment , which is performed on a massage table, as opposed to a futon as in Shiatsu.
I update this yearly with my Japanese Master Haruyoshi Fugaku Ito.
This is a 90 min. top to toe full on treatment incorporating the most essential accupressure points and meridians in the entire body.
With stretches and manipulation.
I update my Anma every year with Ito.
