Marie is currently the Principal Lecturer in Aromatherapy at Rosewood College (www.rosewoodcollege.com), where she teaches a Level 4 course in Aromatherapy Massage accredited by the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) - the oldest and largest professional Aromatherapy organisation in the world.
In 2010, Marie trained with the prestigious Penny Price Academy, gaining 'distinction' in her exam for the Licentiate Diploma in Aromatology, making her one of the top practitioners of Aromatic Medicine in the UK. But this is just the latest event in her studies and passion for essential oils and complementary therapies.
Marie originally qualified as a Clinical Aromatherapist and Masseur in 1993 with CIBTAC and ITEC. She then upgraded her qualifications in 1998 with Maureen Farrell (Principal of the Hygeia School of Holistic Therapy, and at the time, Chair of the IFPA). Marie is currently a Full Member of the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) and served on the IFA's Council from 2016 to 2020.
In 2005, Marie further qualified with the Penny Price Academy in Advanced Massage, Aromatherapy for Arthritis Care and Pain Management, together with Indian Head Massage. She then took a course in Thermo-Auricular Therapy with the Alda House School of Natural Therapies, established by Linda Stokes, which she then went on to up-grade in 2010 taking the Otoscope training course.
In 2006, she studied a further Deep Tissue Advanced Massage course with Teresa Chilton - a highly respected practitioner and lecturer in the field who regularly works alongside Olympic physiotherapists, doctors and elite athletes.
Further courses have also been completed at the Penny Price Academy in 2009/10, including the Chemistry of Essential Oils, and the use of Hydrolats.
Marie can assure you of the utmost care and comfort, with a dedicated treatment room and off road parking should you decide to book a treatment.
