Yoga therapy is a valuable tool in helping overcome many issues caused by modern living including stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, eating disorders, infertility and many other disorders that may originate in the mind. Issues in the body can also be helped with yoga therapy and acute and chronic pain can be relieved and many other ailments can be helped including back pain, respiratory conditions, circulatory conditions, digestive dis-orders and reproductive issues.
The key principle of yoga therapy is to treat the whole person. You are guided through your own personal mind and body movement practice which you take away. Your practice will focus on the needs of your physical, energetic, mental and emotional self. During the subsequent session(s), your practice will be refined and improved and goals will be assessed and redefined where necessary. Your practice will include functional movement, pilates and somatics if appropriate.
The session is structured into 3 distinct parts;
Initial discussion/follow up discussion
Deep restorative yoga, inducing calm and promoting healing in both mind and body
A minimum course of 3 treatments is recommended over a 3-6 week period.
