Combs Complementary Therapies
Massage has been practiced throughout the centuries since the earliest civilsations. It is a medical and therapeutic healing treatment and it is also excellent for invigorating, soothing and beautifying the body. It is an instinctive act for relieving pain and discomfort and for calming. The practice of massage spread to the west from the East into Europe and was well established by 500 BC. Massage can help the blood supply to muscles, circulation is improved and waste products are removed more effectively. Pain reduces along with stiffness as tissues and warmed which reduces tension in muscles. It also helps your metabolism and can aid weight loss as well as toning the body.
If you are interested in a massage treatment, please contact Jennifer. Massage treatments cost 40.00 for a full body massage and £25 for back neck and shoulders and £20.00 for back only.
Reiki is a form of hands on healing. It is believed to date back hundreds of years. A reiki healer is a channel for universal energy. it is with faith and intent healing is given. Anyone can receive this wonderful healing energy. However an open mind and flexible approach is often a good starting point.
A reiki session takes approximately 45 minutes plus 15 minutes consultation. I encourage clients to receive at least three treatments for optimum benefit. Reiki is also very effective on animals. In Japanese Rei stands for Holy Spirit and Ki means energy, nature, talent and feeling. Reiki translates as universal life energy.
If you are interested in Reiki treatments - they are £25.00 for an hour.
Massage is part of normal family life within the Indian community. Even today, it is used frequently. Baby massage which has now become more popular in the west, has roots in India where children are massaged daily. The benefits of touch alone in this way cannot be stated enough. Head massage was used in Indian for grooming hair and barbers also use it and have developed it. Now head massage has been extended to include neck, shoulders, back and arms, all key areas of stress. It is also very useful for stress management. Stress is a symptom of modern living but massage can be literally done anywhere even in the office.
If you are interested in an Indian Head Massage please contact Jennifer An Indian Head Massage costs £18 for 20 minutes and is done through the clothes.
The areas treated are back, shoulders, neck, head and face.
