Jan Lewis MAR IIR ART(Regd)
An experienced Reflexologist, qualified with the International Institute of Reflexology. I also practice Advanced Reflexology Techniques, Reflexology Lymh Drainage and Fertility, Pregnancy and labour induction. I provide individually tailored clinical reflexology treatments aimed at enabling the body to achieve its own balance and healing, to support conditions such as:
Musculo- skeletal issues: back/neck problems, frozen shoulder, sciatica
Inflammatory conditions: arthritis, gout, hayfever, asthma, eczema, psoriasis
Fertility issues, pregnancy and labour induction*
Women's health: PMS, menopause, thyroid and gynaecological problems
Digestion: IBS, constipation
General stress and tension; sleep issues
Reflexology Lymph Drainage Techniques - originally developed for post operative lyphodoema (particularly as a result of breast cancer), these techniques are also helpful for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. See http://www.reflexologylymphdrainage.co.uk/ for further information.
* Women who haven’t had Reflexology during their pregnancy are advised to have a minimum of two 'normal' treatments before an induction treatment takes place. This is to ensure that the body is used to the effects of Reflexology before the more intense treatment used to stimulate labour.
* For fertility Reflexology, it is recommended that a course of treatments are undertaken, usually commencing with weekly/fortnightly treatments and then moving to monthly treatments over a 6-9 month period.
PLEASE NOTE: I have a policy of only treating male clients who are recommended to me by an existing client.
(There are only a few conditions where receiving reflexology is not advisable, and the above are examples rather than an exhaustive listing, so please contact me if you would like to discuss your particular condition).
My original career and training were in food and nutrition, and I've always been interested in diet, exercise and well being. Followed by 20 years in senior HR roles, I have a wide understanding of work related stress and how to enable people to return to work and avoid further 'burn out'. I take a wholly holistic approach to working with clients to manage and take control of their health.
