Acorn Homeopathy: Jacquie Haylett RSHom
I am an experienced Homeopathic Practitioner & Integrative Counsellor who feels passionately supporting people in the best way possible to move forward through stressful and traumatic times in their lives, which may impact on health and express itself in physical, mental and emotional symptoms of anxiety; depression; digestive disorders; fatigue; irritable bowel syndrome; insomnia, etc.
When working with emotional issues many clients have observed the benefits of my integrative approach, using counselling & anxiety management techniques alongside homeopathic treatment to optimise emotional health & wellbeing where indicated.
On client's request I am able to offer basic counselling and anxiety management skills alongside homeopathic treatment, or alternatively support some clients with long or short term counselling either alongside their homeopathic treatment, or completely on its own.
Derived from natural sources homeopathic prescriptions are non-addictive and individually tailored to incorporate all physical, mental and emotional symptoms as closely as possible. During your consultation you will receive a thorough assessment by Jacquie who is professionally regulated and insured. You will be supported, listened to, treated with respect, empathy and without judgement.
Using a holistic approach the homeopathic consultation and treatment differs from conventional medicine in that rather than focussing on a specific named disease/diagnosis all factors which have the potential to impact on health are taken into account, (lifestyle, environmental influences, stress factors, diet, medical history, sleep patterns, etc). The prescribed remedy is individually tailored to match as closely as possible all the symptoms you are suffering from.
I offer a limited number of concessionary rates to those on a low a low income.
You are welcome to contact me to for a free informal discussion to explore how homeopathy may be able to help you.
Information about your Homeopath: Jacquie Haylett
I first discovered homeopathic medicine on recommendation from a friend when my daughter was suffering from recurrent infections and I was seeking treatment options.
When the opportunity arose to study homeopathic medicine I was absolutely delighted, having always been attracted to wildlife and nature and interested in a natural approach to healing. I have personally been treated successfully with homeopathy at various times throughout my life and felt intrigued and keen to find out more about this system of medicine and become a homeopathic practitioner.
I graduated from the British School of Homeopathy (LBSH) in 2012 and am registered and insured with the Society of Homeopaths. I am a member of the Blackdown Hills Business Association and Blackdown Health Collective. To further my knowledge I undertook a placement at the Step by Step Homeopathy Clinic in Bristol supporting service users with a wide range of mental health problems.
I attend as many training courses and CPD events as possible to keep myself up to date with current practice. I have invested in Radar Opus computer programme (a vast database of homeopathic information) to assist in my research when formulating a treatment plan for my patients.
Having observed the benefits of using flower essences on my family and animals for many years, to further my knowledge of their use and how they can complement the homeopathic prescription I have undertaken Bach Flower for Homeopaths training and regularly use flower essences alongside homeopathy.
I have a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling. I have a special interest in working with clients who incurred grief, loss or bereavement, including relationship difficulties, identity, etc, as well as an interest in low self esteem, body image and eating disorders. I currently volunteer as a counsellor within an Eating Disorder Team and Bereavement Support Team and have undertaken specialist training in both these areas of work.
Friends and colleagues describe me as being calm, well-grounded, open minded, genuine and sincere. I am a proud mother and grandmother and in my spare time enjoy spending time with my family and menagerie of animals; and enjoying the spectacular countryside

What is Homeopathic Medicine?
Homeopathy is widely recognised as being a gentle and non-invasive form of treatment which seeks to stimulates the body’s capacity for self-healing.
Homeopathic medicine was discovered by Dr Samuel Hahnemann, German Physician in 1796 and is practised widely throughout the world. Homeopathic remedies are non-addictive, derived from natural sources, and can be used at any age (from birth, in pregnancy and in old age) and can be taken at the same time as conventional medication.
The Homeopathic Consultation
I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment in which to explore your symptoms. Working on the homeopathic principle of “like cures like” homeopathic prescriptions are individually tailored to your specific needs, having explored exactly how your symptoms affect you based on the fact that every person’s experience of a specific condition is different.
The initial appointment for an adult will usually last approximately 60 - 90 minutes, (children’s appointments are usually a maximum of 45 mins to 1 hour so that the child does not become bored and restless and time may need to be scheduled to talk to the parent to obtain further information either face to face or over the telephone).
Follow up appointments are approximately of 30 - 60 minutes in duration. The number of appointments required and the length of time between appointments varies according to the needs/health of patients, but usually the first follow up appointments will be within approximately 4-5 weeks. If required appointments can be arranged with far more regularity at times of crisis or according to the wishes/needs of the patient.
Telephone/SKYPE consultation must be pre-booked and the cost of the consultation is the same as for those patients attending my clinic.
Although occasionally I may prescribe at the time of the consultation I will usually post the prescription within a few days to allow time for me to reflect and research in depth the information obtained during your consultation so that the prescription is individually tailored to meet your needs as closely as possible.
Patient testimonials available on request.
