Stress and anxiety can be overcome by relaxing regularly. Massage, Reflexology, Yoga and Reiki are brilliant in helping with this. At the same time looking with understanding at the thought process underlying tension and experiencing our natural peaceful nature can help us to stop generating further stress for ourselves.
Everything here is given with intention to help you with this.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
I use a technique of gentle massage alternating with deep therapeutic massage to give the maximum relaxation to areas with muscular pain. Leaving and returning to the greatest tension spots while always making sure you feel in control of your own treatment and are comfortable with the massage depth.
Some common issues which can be helped are:
• If you suffer from headaches or grind your teath a neck, scalp and shoulder massage may help
• shoulder pain, pain in the arms or hands can be relieved by massage between the shoulder blades, round the rotator cuffs, intercostal muscles and arms
•lower back pain and sciatica may be relieved by deep massage of back, glutes and front and back of legs
You can experience your own universal healing energy with the additoonal boost from a Reiki Master. This can change your entire emotional landscape, leaving you deeply peaceful.
There are now guided yoga sessions twice a week on Monday and Wednesday mornings 9.30 to 10.30 am. First session 3rd January.
Held at Arundel Scout Hall, 8 Green Lane close, BN18 9JA. The hall is off Canada Road opposite the doctors surgery.
The style is slow flow, relaxed and informal.
Please bring a yoga mat and blanket.
Drop in whenever you like - charge is £8. Or if you would like a private 1to1 session you're welcome. Charge as usual rate.
This is the modern style massage based reflexology which is soothing on the nerves and likely to make you fall asleep!
Reflexology goes all the way up to the knees and can help with mobility issues.
It is also a deep workout for the reflex points on the feet which may benefit all the organs and body systems.
A relaxing full body massage. Keeping the movements rhymic and flowing lulls the mind and emotions. Beautiful essential oils complete your experience. (women only)
Using homemade soap, masks and moisturising cream, these are holistic aromatherapy facials.
An hours facial has an exfoliating mask with banana, oats and egg yolk. A neck and shoulder massage. A choice of moisturising mask with avocado, fresh lemon and lavender oil or French Green mud mask with Aloe Vera and Sandalwood oil. While the mask sets there is an Indian Head Massage. Lastly a face massage with coconut oil, beeswax and Grapeseed oil moisturiser.
This should leave you feeling peaceful and with soft skin!
It is often possible to have half an hour in the hot tub before a facial to make a rounded treatment for the whole body.
Half an hour in the hot tub is £10 extra. (Non smokers only)
Training, qualifications & experience
My qualifications are level 3 diplomas in basic and advanced Aromatherapy, basic and advanced Reflexology, Counselling for Stress, Indian Head Massage, Anatomy and Physiology,Colour therapy and Reiki. Yoga 200-Hours teacher training.
I've taken Reiki Master level, Karuna Reiki and Munai-ki.
I have attended a course in Osteopathic Massage and specialise in deep tissue massage. Im an FHT member.
I've attended 7 retreats with the Yogic Philosophy Master Mooji. These show the way we can see through the strategy of the mind which keeps us in painful mindsets.
When we see through the minds strategy we come out to the natural peace which is the birthright of each and every one of us.
With loving Yoga philosophy and always advising on the best yoga stretch to help with muscle pain it became clear it would be good to train as a yoga teacher. Not least because I could spend a month in Rishikesh, India.
