Federica Olivero RCST
Have you ever though that the way you were born, the way you were met and received when in the womb and the way you were welcomed after birth could have had an impact in shaping your life? in the way you react to stress? in how you experience transitions? in how you come into relationship?
Whether you know you have experienced prenatal and birth trauma or are simply curious to explore the way your prenatal and birth history is held in your body and may still be playing out in your life by keeping you stuck in repetitive patterns and behaviours that never seem to resolve, you are welcome.
I am a biodynamic craniosacral therapist and specialise in working with early relational trauma and the impact of prenatal and birth experiences in shaping our life.
My focus is on in-depth work addressing the early roots of presenting problems, behaviours and core beliefs rather than working directly with symptoms. This generally happens over a long period of time, in one-to-one regular weekly sessions. While symptoms may take longer to resolve, in the process of working together you will notice deeper changes in your whole being as you step back from overwhelm, come more fully into your body and begin to live life with more ease and spaciousness.
Healing your early history can empower you to re-connect with yourself and others, stop repeating unconscious patterns held in your body and feel fully alive and embodied in your present life. It is never too late to heal!
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified from the Karuna Institute, studying the biodynamic approach to craniosacral therapy with Franklyn Sills. I am registered with the Craniosacral Therapy Association of the UK (CSTA) and fully insured. I see a supervisor and I continue deepening my practice by regularly attending postgraduate courses and having my own therapy sessions.
Over the last ten years, both through diving deep into my own early process and attending trainings with experts in the field (Franklyn Sills, Cherionna Menzam-Sills, William Emerson, Claire Dolby), I have been specialising in working with prenatal and birth experiences and early relational trauma with adults and babies. I have recently completed the Prenatal Person Training at the Karuna Institute.
The depth of enquiry I bring to my work with clients is also influenced by my personal ongoing experience of Core Process Psychotherapy, the Core Process Psychotherapy Foundation Certificate and the Diploma in Relational Mindfulness.
