About me

I am a qualified Shiatsu practitioner with nearly 20 years experience. Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing hands-on non invasive treatment based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. I will treat your body using finger pressure, gentle rotations and stretches. The treatment takes place fully clothed on a massage table (traditionally on a futon on the floor).

To me the importance of this work is that the individual is seen, listened to and heard. This unique interaction provides the foundation for the treatment. When our energy/Chi is compromised through, for instance stress, trauma, life style - we develop discomfort, pain and illness which can manifest in many ways: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

The treatment can help calm the system, reduce the levels of stress and restore the body’s natural balance towards healing.

I encourage the client to play an active role in identifying, experiencing and moving towards health and wellbeing, enabling self-healing.

I have supported many people throughout their experience of illness and pain, grief, work challenges, pregnancy and childbirth, care giving, and also in times of personal growth and development. For me the quality of informed touch is a powerful tool in the process and ensures the effectiveness of the treatment.
