Other available therapies

Reproductive, Digestive and Fertility Massage

Fertility massage is a deep; yet gentle, non-invasive abdominal and sacral therapy that focuses on improving circulation to the abdominal organs, with an aim to improve blood, nerve and lymph flow.

The massage also focuses on releasing physical and emotional tension, helping to loosen harden debris (that has been accumulating in your gut for years) encouraging a natural movement and clearing both physical and emotional congestion, leaving you and your abdomen feeling lighter and freer.

A range of massage techniques coupled with powerful Reiki energy soothes and revitalises the digestive and reproductive organs allowing you to reconnect with your body’s natural rhythms.

Other techniques included are:

Abdominal Sacral Massage
Crystal Therapy
Sacred Smudging Techniques
Trigger Point Therapy
Castor Oil Packs
Flower Remedies
Rebozo Technique
Reiki/Healing – Guided Visualisations

Why Focus on Reproductive, Digestive & Lower Back?

Our abdominal cavity is serviced by the same neural pathways, connecting the organs, muscles and connective tissue of the reproductive and digestive systems along with the lower back muscles. If one organ or muscle is misaligned, blocked or damaged by scar tissue – all the others will be disrupted, and can, in turn, send the whole body into disarray.

It is important to note that 80% of our immune system lives within our digestive tract, immunity, digestion and fertility are closely linked. Therefore, it is important to massage and treat the whole torso area, aiming to achieve Homeostasis!

After your initial treatment, you will be given access to many resources aimed at improving fertility and general womb health which includes information on castor oil packs, yoni steams, menstrual charting and fertility lifestyle advice.

Seated acupressure massage

Seated acupressure massage comes from the traditional Japanese massage technique named Anma – meaning “press and rub”. This therapy aims to stimulate the acupressure points in the head, neck, shoulders, spine and lower back. The therapist uses a specific sequence of movements, which are designed to balance and strengthen the body’s muscular, circulatory and nervous systems.

It is similar to acupuncture; however, no needles are used. The client remains fully clothed and in an upright position on a portable seated massage chair and the session usually lasts around 20 minutes. This makes it an excellent therapy for office based workers, people on the go and people with limited mobility.

Seated acupressure massage is said to be helpful for stress relief, loosening tight and knotted muscles and relieving tension. It helps with backache, repetitive strain injury, asthma, headaches, migraines, toothache, fatigue, sinus problems, menstrual pain, digestive problems, eyestrain, anxiety, irritability and insomnia.

Indian head massage

Indian head massage is based on ayurvedic healing, an ancient healing system originating in India. It is designed to relieve stress and tension in the muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

This 30-45 minute treatment can be done fully or partly clothed with the client sitting upright in a massage chair. The therapist uses a range of different movements including deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. Stimulation of pressure points on the face is also included.

Indian head massage is said to be helpful for stress relief, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. It can aid neck and shoulder joint mobility and flexibility, improve blood and lymph flow, ease muscular tension, relax connective tissue, and aid in the elimination of toxins and waste products.

Indian head massage can be deeply calming and relaxing, leaving the client energised, revitalised and better able to concentrate.
