About me
I am the acupuncturist at The Hayling Clinic on Hayling Island, Hampshire.
Acupuncture helps with many conditions, both physical and emotional, ranging from back pain to fertility issues. The World Health Organisation recognises the benefits of acupuncture for a wide range of complaints.
If you don't like the idea of needles, acupressure massage can be used instead, but needling can reach more points at one time.
Contact me to see if I can help you.
I also teach Pilates in classes and on a 1:1 basis in my clinic and other locations by arrangement. I will carry out a postural assessment and put together a personalised training programme for you, developing it as you progress. No previous experience of Pilates is required. I can teach you the basics from scratch or pick up where you left off if you have had lessons in the past, as you require, for as long as you need.
Training, qualifications & experience
My acupuncture training, which takes 3 years at degree level, was at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and the College of Chinese Medicine in London.
I have diplomas from the University of Portsmouth and the College of Chinese Medicine in Oriental medicine, cosmetic acupuncture and auricular acupuncture.
Some patients come to see me regularly for "top ups" when they feel they need it. I have helped patients with fertility, assisted with IVF programmes, long term back pain, other musculo skeletal problems and depression amongst others.
I am a Level 3 qualified teacher in mat based Pilates.
For both disciplines, I undergo Continuing Professional Development to keep my training up to date.
