About me

The Appleton Clinic has been helping patients since 1982 in complementary medicine in the fields of Chinese Medicine, Manipulation and Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Massage and Nutrition.

My links with The Arthritis council in Bristol Royal Infirmary for some years has given me a good grounding in treatments by Western Medicine for Rheumatology and vsualistion techniques.

My interest in chemistry has prompted research into nutrition and supplementation.

Training, qualifications & experience

Following training in Chemistry and Bacteriologyat Edinburgh University and Immunology Research at The London Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary trained in Medical Massage and Manipulation and Osteopathy (Oxford Brookes University) and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at Traditional Acupuncture College and Nanjing University Hospital, China.

Further courses in Chinese and Japenese acupuncture in London and Amsterdam.
Two years of Western Medical Herbal medicine at the National Institute of Herbal Medicine and one year course in Chinese Patent Medicine.

I would make it clear that due to a restrictive 'political climate' I have resigned from the General Osteopathic Council in London which means I am not allowed to call myself by the term "Osteopath" although that is my training. Please ask me directly if this is not clear or
interferes with any decision about treatments.
