I am an internationally respected practitioner, author and educator of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine with 35+ years experience. A past Chairman of the British Acupuncture Council and a graduate Medical Physiologist I am medically and scientifically literate and can offer you access to high level professional acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a degree in medical physiology, a degree-level qualification in acupuncture, a diploma in CHM and a university Master of Science degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
I was one of a handful of people who pioneered the practice of Chinese herbal medicine in the UK and was course director for the first college-based course in the subject in this country. Starting in 1990 I completed internments in hospitals in China getting extra experience of both acupuncture and Chinese medicine..
I have lectured and presented at conferences regularly for over 25 years and worked as both supervisor and as external examiner at masters level for various UK universities and for the Skolen for Akupunktur in Copenhagen. Practising in Chester since 1984 I have specialised in fertility since the late 1980's and also have specialist expertise in the TCM treatment of skin conditions and in supporting cancer patients. In my career I have treated roughly 15,000 people and given more that 80,000 treatments. In 2014 I published a textbook - Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine - Roots of Modern Practice .
