About me

Carles Martinez - OSSM (Dip), MSMA, MISRMIn 2012 I ruptured my achilles tendon. After a string of system failures and a whole year of recovery the tendon hadn’t healed properly and I had to have surgery which took me back to square one. The frustration, pain, and the accompanying lack of mobility motivated me to learn how the human body responds to injury and the processes that can aid recovery. My interest was drawn to sports and remedial massage - besides injury recovery it can help optimise training for a wide range of physical activities, improve balance and posture, and help fight every day aches and pains. 3 years after my injury I graduated in Sports and Remedial Massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage in February 2015.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a therapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the therapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
