About us

Botanica Medica has been established for over 13 years as a herbal apothecary owned and run by fully qualified, professional medical herbalists. The herbal medicines are hand-made in the apothecary and used to treat a wide range of conditions. Professional advice is available through private consultations, or for less serious conditions, over the counter. Herbs are dispensed immediately and can be mailed to your home.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our medical herbalists have BSc Hons, and or MSc in Herbal Medicine, and over 17 years experience.  All other therapists working at Botanica Medica are fully trained and insured.  We have a special interest in adrenal fatigue, chronic fatigue/ME, Candida and hormonal imbalances, but herbal medicine can be successfully used to treat a wide variety of health conditions.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a therapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the therapist to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
