Dr (TCM) Attilio D'Alberto
I am passionate about acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, the awareness it gives me and how I can use that to show people how to improve their health.
I blend ancient theories of Chinese medicine with modern medicine to give a deep insight into illness and disharmony. I then use several treatment strategies to tackle the problem allowing for a quicker recovery.
I believe it's important to explain to people what's going on with them and the disharmony they have, as it empowers them. This allows us to work consciously together to improve health.
Training, qualifications & experience
I graduated in 2004 from the world famous Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China with a Bachelor of Medicine and from Middlesex University in London with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
This full time, 5 year degree included extensive study of western medicine, 3 years clinical experience at Asante Academy and Whittington hospital in London as well as 6 months internship at two of the largest hospitals in Beijing, China; Zhong Ri hospital and Xi Yuan hospital. It is considered to be the most comprehensive Chinese medicine degree program in the UK and Europe.
Since graduating in China in 2004, I have continued to learn from worldwide experts in acupuncture, such as the classical acupuncture master Dr Tan, Master Tung points, the obstetrics pioneer Debra Betts.

Just wanted to say thanks to Attilio for his amazing support of our event 'Ride for Adreanna 2017' and preparation work for my longstanding back pain issues. After just a couple of months of weekly acupuncture he helped get me to a position where I have been able to ditch all my painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications and to a point where I am seeing some 80% improvement in my symptoms. I have just completed a two week cycle ride from John O'Groats to Lands End in support of Papyrus (a charity working to prevent young suicide) - I really don't believe I would have achieved it without his amazing input. Thanks Attilio!
"I cannot recommend Dr (TCM) D’Alberto enough. I came to him following multiple IVF cycles at the ARGC due to unexplained infertility, including 3 miscarriages. I had a low AMH and had been told my chances of conceiving were minimal at best. I went to Dr D’Alberto immediately after the 3rd miscarriage feeling very low and willing to try anything, with the intention of having treatment for 6 months, then having him support us through another round of IVF. My body was completely shattered having been put through so much in a relatively short period of time. I asked Dr (TCM) D’Alberto how long it generally took people’s bodies to get to the stage where they could consider IVF. He advised me the average time was 6 months, however it would probably take longer for me due to the fact my body had gone through so much. We had previously tried a number of different therapies recommended for infertility, including reflexology, so felt we had nothing to lose. Six months following my first consultation I found out I was pregnant naturally with our much longed for baby. With our history we hadn’t expected to conceive naturally, and certainly not in such a short period of time! Due to my previous miscarriages I continued seeing Dr (TCM) D’Alberto throughout my pregnancy. I sailed through the pregnancy, and am now an extremely happy mummy to a 4 month old! I genuinely believe I wouldn’t have had my son if it wasn’t for Dr (TCM) D’Alberto’s work with me. Throughout he was extremely professional, empathetic, but with a wicked sense of humour. For anyone unsure, ignore the naysayers and get in touch with Dr (TCM) D’Alberto. It may well be the best thing you do!."
