About me

Andrea is dedicated to her work as a Medical Herbalist and will ensure that you leave the consultation with a real sense that you have been listened to and understood.

Many people report back that they feel better even before taking the wonderful herbs that Andrea dispenses.

Herba Medica is a clinic for Herbal Medicine, it is a restful, healing space where you have the opportunity to watch your Herbs being dispensed and have the medicinal properties of the herbs explained to you.

You will leave there empowered and with a plan of action to restore health and balance to your life on every level, physical and emotional.

Andrea has 10 years experience as a Medical Herbalist and 18 years experience in the field of Complementary Medicine and as well as Consultations, runs many varied Workshops and courses in Herbal Medicine.

Training, qualifications & experience

Andrea trained at The School of Phytotherapy and gained an Honours Degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of Wales.

She is a member of both the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy and The National Institute of Medical Herbalists.

The College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP) is a professional organisation made up of phytotherapists, and prides itself on setting high standards within the practice of herbal medicine.


The National Institute of Medical Herbalists

The National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) is the UK's leading professional body representing herbal practitioners. The Institute is self-regulating and is run on a voluntary basis. The Institute maintains a register of individual members, sets the profession's educational standards and runs an accreditation system for training establishments, maintains mandatory programmes of professional development, provides codes of conduct, ethics and practice, has a complaints mechanism and disciplinary procedures, represents the profession, patients and the public through participation in external processes such as regulation of the profession and herbal medicine.

Initial appointment; £40
Follow up appointments: £30

Herbal Medicine costs: Usually between £6-£10 a week
