About me

My Mission Statement

Through this bodywork therapy, my goal is to transform lives by alleviating or eliminating pain and illness from individuals, with the compassionate use of Zen Shiatsu, enabling a better quality of life.

I am a qualified Zen Shiatsu practitioner in Ealing, West London. Before I began my journey into becoming a Shiatsu therapist, I practised a martial art called Southern Shaolin, Five Ancestors Kung Fu, for 20 years. Many of the techniques in that system have been helpful with my transition into Shiatsu, in areas like noticing subtle changes in breathing, temperature and small movements in clients. These subtle changes gives us an indication of how the treatment is developing.

The Sessions

The main element of being any kind of massage therapist, is to be absolutely present, this is the foundation of Zen Shiatsu. Assisting your body to find relaxation, which can create the necessary space for your body to begin its own healing process.

Your Session

During a session, all aspects of the treatment are carried out within your comfort zone. At the beginning I will talk you through the session and make sure you are comfortable throughout the treatment.

How Many Treatments?

The aim for me as a Shiatsu therapist, is to help you attain a level of change that will give you a better quality of life. Change can happen at different rates, for different conditions, it will also depend on how long you have had this particular issue. I would recommend 1 session a week for 2-3 weeks, and review the progress after each treatment, then we can decide if more will be needed or if the condition has resolved.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained and received my diploma for Zen Shiatsu Meridian and Zone Therapy, from The London College of Shiatsu. Since qualifying, I provided treatments in Bristol and London, working with many age groups and conditions. Being able to support people is my main interest, so I provide a safe relaxing environment to help in the healing process.
I am now solely based in Ealing West London.

For 20 years I practiced a Chinese martial art called Southern Shaolin, Five Ancestors Kung fu. The system involved a lot of set forms, as well as Qigong and meditation. It is the Qigong and the meditation I have continued with, as they are complimentary elements with Shiatsu.

And as I am a fully qualified Shiatsu therapist, I am registered with The Shiatsu Society (MrSS), and The Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
