Yoga Nidra soundscape
What is Nidra?
Nidra means deep sleep and Yoga is the application of awareness of the body/mind’s union. Therefore Yoga Nidra is ‘a state of consciousness’ deep sleep.
What can you expect in Yoga Nidra?
You will be suspended between all three states; wakefulness, dream and sleep. Through the use of Yoga Nidra and the medicine of sound you will be taken on a journey, traveling through your brain waves of beta, alpha, theta, delta and then back to a waking state.
During your subconscious state you will have the potential to make real changes to your core-self. It is here that you will cleanse your energy bodies (renew on a cellular level), and so it is at this place you experience healing and undergo a growth, be it evident immediately or not. You will be touched by the simple yet profound sense of returning home to yourself!
What can you expect in a live online class?
All you need for this class is to make yourself comfortable by either lying down on your bed or on the floor; or sitting in a comfortable chair (preferably reclined at a 45 degree angle). Make sure to have as many cushions and blankets as necessary.
Some of you may want a paper and pen nearby to doddle your findings after the call.
On the day of the class I will send you (via email) further details (the link to access the call through YouTube). Simply open the email 15 minutes before the live call to read the PDF, get yourself ready and subscribe to my channel before hand at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbB-6P73Qxwfp0xfL6b8kdA
Click the link in your email at 7.30pm. Time zone used is UK (Greenwich Mean Time).
Please use the time zone converter here to check to see if the live event is suitable for another country, although you will have access for some time afterwards.
The hows of Yoga Nidra?
The experience of marrying the two halves of our brain’s hemispheres and shutting down your conscious mind without the help of external chemicals is something we can learn to develop in Yoga Nidra and harness naturally, for the benefit of our lives and our individual life-styles. By working with our mental awareness we can totally shutdown our conscious mind, deeply let go of our body and experience the state of the witness and/or the blissful presence of boundless joy.
This event takes place on the first Wednesday of each month.
